The production enterprises of the Orenburg unit of ForteInvest (part of the Industrial and Financial Group SAFMAR of Mikhail Gutseriev) are ready for the fire season.
For instance, in order to minimize the risk of emergencies, work is performed to clear areas of dry grass and restore well embankments, and a survey of facilities has been arranged to assess their fire hazard. Oil production facilities are equipped with fire-fighting systems, including underground and ground pumping systems, water storage tanks, fire monitors, fire hoses and a motor pump with the use of a special agent (foaming agent) in the composition of water to ensure effective extinguishing of fires. In the most fire hazardous places and for operational use, the oil fields of the Orenburg unit are provided with emergency fire-fighting equipment (fire shields, sand, fire extinguishers, fire blankets, etc.).
In order to call the specialized services of the Russian Federation Ministry of Emergency Situations to extinguish fires, notification schemas have been developed, that indicate the dispatching services and fire departments of the regions closest to the the facilities’ location.
In addition, training was organized for engineering and technical personnel and specialists in working occupations in the field of Fire Safety Basics and the Observance of Measures to Prevent Fires at Workplaces and the Implementation of Fire Safety Measures at Facilities During Work.
Furthermore, training sessions theon office building evacuation are held twice a year.
